Flag retirement ceremony, Flag Day, June 14, 6:00 P.M. in front of the downtown fire station. Old, unserviceable US Flags will be respectfully and honorably retired according to the US Flag Code. If the flag is torn, tattered, faded, or otherwise unfit to fly, then it's time to retire it and get a new flag. Our Boy Scout Troop 42 will be conducting the ceremony under the guidance of our Legion Post 181. Last year we had over 100 community members witness the retirement of more than 75 flags.
